It will be easier to always be able to charge the car at home, and you also avoid all the risks of charging in an ordinary wall outlet. It is also cheaper to charge at home compared to charging your car at public charging stations, especially if you charge at night with an electricity contract with an hourly price.
How we carried out the test and named the winners
In this test, we have taken several different parameters into account to ensure that the winner is actually the best box on the market right now. We have woven together a number of tests that have already been done from, among others, M3 and Best in Test, gone through public reviews for each charger and asked our customers & electricians to get as comprehensive and fair a picture as possible. The chargers were ranked based on the five different parameters below.
1. Quality & Guarantee ✅
A EV charger is often installed outdoors must be able to handle a rough climate like that in the nordic countries. The build quality and warranty are therefore extremely important. To assess this, we have gone through the number of complaint cases for each charger, reviewed public reviews and traditional benchmarks such as IP classification and guarantees.
2. Price & Accessories 💸
The price is always an important factor for consumers, but it is not only the price of the charger that is the most important. Some chargers cost more to install, some have a fixed charging cable included and all chargers have a different amount of accessories to choose from. For this parameter, we have reviewed the prices, supply and availability of all major suppliers.
3. Software & App 📱
A EV charger can be both smart and stupid, important for most users is that the chargers software is easy to use, has all the functions you want and always works. For this parameter, we have gone through all the chargers ratings & reviews in the App Store & Google Play.
4. Design 🦄
As the EV charger is most often mounted on the facade of the house, design is important for most people. Here we mainly looked at the size of the charger, the color options and who had the honor of winning design awards.
5. Reviews 🧐
Actual end user reviews are a really good indication of how good a product actually is. Here we have gone through our own reviews, conversations and scanned the suppliers' own pages to get as comprehensive a picture as picture.
